I trained and worked as a Doctor of Clinical Psychology in London and the South of England. I have 10 years of clinical experience within the NHS mental health services, where I worked with individuals in out-patient clinics, community services, in-patient hospitals and criminal justice settings.

I have extensive experience treating a variety of clinical problems such as: anxiety, depression, anger problems, parenting difficulties, managing mental illness, understanding and controlling alcohol use/abuse.

Within the forensic mental health services I have taught medical professionals and professionals from the criminal justice system on issues of assessing and managing challenging and violent behaviours, criminal behaviours and risk.

Having moved to France I took a career break to raise my children and I have recently returned to my profession as a Clinical Psychologist, running a small private psychology practice in SW France.

I work online with adults and older adolescents, offering short-term problem focused therapy in English. I take a client-centred and collaborative approach to therapy, drawing on a range of therapeutic models but favouring the structured approaches and skills from CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), DBT (dialectical behaviour therapy), REBT (rational emotive behaviour therapy), Mindfulness and Relapse Prevention models. These approaches are client friendly and are active treatments with proven success within a short timescale (typically 1-12 sessions) for symptoms of anxiety, depression, anger and unwanted behaviours. Together we focus on your current struggles and your current goals for change, without losing sight of the often long-standing causes that may underlie your problems.
